Lexitas is seeking a Paralegal with business, real estate and estate planning experience for a permanent position with a law firm in Petoskey, Michigan. This is a great opportunity to join a small law firm with diverse practice areas in an idyllic community.
The hired Business, Real Estate and Estate Planning Paralegal will deliver great results by:
- Preparing all documents required to form corporations and limited liability companies as well as preparing qualification documents for foreign jurisdictions; and preparing documentation for amendments, withdrawals, mergers, and dissolutions.
- Preparing company record and minute books, resolutions, entity formation documents, promissory notes, and contracts.
- Conducting due diligence research.
- Preparing certificates and UCC financing statements.
- Assisting with business transactional work and responsibilities including paperwork for mergers/acquisitions, financing, and strategic investments.
- Assisting with the preparation of closing documents, maintaining closing files, and compiling closing sets.
- Preparing real estate agreements, deeds, mortgages, easements and other real estate documents, and understanding egal descriptions and matters of title.
- Preparing probate pleadings for decedents’ estates, guardianships, and conservatorships.
- Preparation of Preparing trust administration documents.
- Ability to Collaborating effectively across teams and having the technical skills and professional maturity to anticipate and initiate legal tasks independently and under the direction and oversight of the supervising attorney.
