Lexitas Commits to Advancing the Future of Court Reporting and Captioning Professions

The National Court Reporters Association (NCRA), the country's leading organization representing stenographic captioners, freelance court reporters, and legal videographers, announced that Lexitas, is one of eight major industry leaders serving or representing the court reporting and captioning professions that has signed on to the Associaton's Corporate Partnership Program.

"We continue to focus on the next generation of captioners and freelance court reporters by illustrating that these professions are viable and lucrative career opportunitis," said NCRA Executive Director and CEO Marcia Ferranto. "We're excited about the diversity of the organizations that are joining our commitment to closing the shortage gap of stenographeers nationally," she added. 

"It is incumbent on all of us to invest in our profession and to move our industry forward to create opportunities for current and future reporters," said Gary Buckand, Chief Executive Officer for Lexitas. "We at Lexitas felt that investing in NCRA and the membership as a corporate partner will help o accelerate strategic initiatives to support the challenges that we are facing," he added.

"NCRA recognizs that there are various  methods available to capture the spoken workd, but our emphasis is on ensuring that both the general public and the legal industry understand that stenography is by far the most effective and desired method, and our Corporate Partner like Lexitas are a key part of the sustainability and growth of these initiatives," Ferranto said.
