Lexitas Employee Assistance Fund Mission Statement:

Lexitas established its Employee Assistance Fund (“Fund”), also known as LEAF, as a program to assist employees cope with unexpected financial hardships that place undue stress on an employee and their family. LEAF provides approved applicants with funds to help employees recover more quickly from unexpected financial hardship resulting from the impact of federally qualified, natural and other disasters and other personal hardships.

Lexitas has contracted with America’s Charities, a nonprofit 501c3 organization based in Virginia, to administer and manage its Fund. America’s Charities is responsible for the management of the Fund, including performing all reviews and decisions for all applications. Lexitas is not involved in the review of any application or appeal and has delegated its authority to America’s Charities to make decisions on all applications in its sole discretion according to the guidelines established in this policy.

Community Outreach

Boots & Paws Program

Lexitas is partnering with Guardian Revival to help sponsor its Boots & Paws Program, which provides free companion dogs to Veterans and First Responders. Dog ownership provides therapeutic benefits, including reducing stress & anxiety, easing depression & loneliness, and encouraging regular exercise.
The Landing

The Landing

Lexitas recently began a partnership with The Landing – a Houston-based organization whose mission is to serve the survivors of human trafficking and sexual exploitation by treating trauma, increasing victim identification, and building healing relationships. We will continue to build this partnership in 2024, including assisting with their Feel the Love event this February. To learn more about the incredible work The Landing is doing, learn more below.

Keyway Center for Diversion and Reentry

Lexitas has partnered with Keyway Center for Diversion and Reentry - an organization advocating for and assisting women in the criminal justice system to support their successful transition to family and community. Keyway provides a full range of evidence-driven wrap-around services, including supportive housing, behavioral health services, vocational support, mentorship, court advocacy, and life skills coaching.

Key partnerships, sponsorships, and accomplishments

May: Lexitas is participating in Walk MS to raise funds and make a difference for everyone living with MS.

February: Lexitas participated in the Share The Love campaign for Keyway and The Landing by helping to donate needed items.

2023

December 16: Lexitas donated to Cooper’s Cure – a small but mighty organization that helps search for treatment and a cure for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (or DMD).

December 7: We sponsored a Motion for Kids event hosted by BAMSL that provided a holiday party for St. Louis-area kids in the foster care system or whose lives have been severely impacted by the criminal justice system.

November 23: Lexitas prepared food and hosted a Thanksgiving dinner for the women at the Keyway Center.

October 18: At the Kansas City Paralegal Association Vendor Showcase, Lexitas was awarded the Top Vendor Contributor and 2023 Vendor of the Year awards for our work with the Bears on Patrol program that the KCPA coordinates with the Kansas City Police Department.

September 11: Lexitas partnered with 911day.org to sponsor volunteer opportunities that gave back to communities across the U.S.
