Mike Murphy
Professional Experience:
Mike Murphy is a partner in the firm of Spencer Fane and is affiliated with the firm’s Cape Girardeau, Dallas and St. Louis offices. Over the course of over twenty-five years of practice devoted to complex civil litigation, Mike has handled cases in the fields of alleged product liability, toxic tort/chemical exposure, medical negligence and other serious personal injuries in various venues across the country. Additionally, Murphy represents companies and individuals in business disputes, trust and estate issues and other commercial and corporate litigation matters.
Mike has been consistently named as a Missouri and Kansas Super Lawyer since 2008. He has been elected as a Fellow in the Litigation Counsel of America, an honorary trial attorney society, and also as a Fellow in the American Bar Foundation, an organization whose membership is limited to one-third of one percent of the lawyers in each jurisdiction.
A graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia (B.S. 1987, J.D. 1991) he is admitted to the Bar in the States of Missouri, Texas and Colorado. In recent years he has authored or co-authored numerous publications related to trial practice and professionalism and received a Board Service Award from the Missouri Organization of Defense Lawyers. Outside of the practice of law Mike serves on the Board of Directors of the American Quarter Horse Association and is a former President of the Missouri Quarter Horse Association.
