Lexitas Contributes to Project Steno to Promote and Grow the Stenographic Court Reporting Profession
Lexitas recently contributed $5,000 to Project Steno, joining other major donors in supporting the nonprofit's mission to promote and grow the stenographic court reporting profession. These donations have fueled Project Steno’s critical work including engaging over 4,000 aspiring court reporters, enrolling more than 1,500 students in their Basic Training® program, and providing 800 steno machines to participants across the country.
Project Steno’s innovative Basic Training®, a free six-week program, continues to deliver impressive results, with 40% of participants advancing to accredited stenographic schools and partner graduation rates exceeding the national average by five times. With an annual budget of just $150,000, contributions like Lexitas’ help fund the program’s free access, outreach, and essential resources.
