Professional Experience:

Jack Musgrave is a partner in the law firm of Thompson Coburn LLP. His practice focuses on complex civil litigation and he also serves as the firm’s General Counsel. 

With almost 50 years of experience working as a trial attorney, Jack specializes in complex litigation involving commercial matters, product liability and toxic torts. One of his most notable cases was the successful defense of Monsanto Company in Kemner v. Monsanto, the longest civil jury trial (3 years and 10 months) in U.S. history, according to the Guiness Book of World Records. He is a member of several prestigious peer elected national and international law organizations including American College of Trial Lawyers, International Academy of Trial Lawyers, American Board of Trial Advocates, and has been listed for several years in The Best Lawyers in America and Missouri & Kansas Super Lawyers.

In addition to his success in the courtroom, Jack is also well known for his publications, speeches and involvement in legal instructional programs. He is actively involved with a wide range of legal organizations and counsels and is one of the founding members of the Missouri Coalition for Preservation of Right to Council, an organization of lawyers seeking to insure that all indigents have access to adequate counsel in criminal matters.
